The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship is one of four departments under the Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University. It was established as the Department of Management in 1992, the same time as the Faculty of Business Administration. Then, in 2019, its name was changed to “Department of Management and Entrepreneurship” (according to the Announcement of Chiang Mai University on the Division of Academics and Other Agencies (Issue No.8) B.E.2562 (2019), dated 22 June 2019). Its primary duties and responsibilities follow the core missions of the faculty and the university, including educational management at both graduate and undergraduate levels, research, academic services to the community, arts and cultural restoration, environmental conservation, and quality assurance in education.
