The Department of Finance is one department under the Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University. It was approved to be the Department of Finance and Banking at the same time as when the Faculty of Business Administration was established in 1992. Back in 2019, the department was changed to “Department of Finance” (according to the Announcement of Chiang Mai University on the Division of Academics and Other Agencies (Issue No.8) B.E.2562 (2019), dated 22 June 2019). Its main duties involve finance and banking. In addition to educational management, the Department of Finance has carried out its missions for research, academic services to the community, student development, arts and cultural restoration, and other assignments.
