CMU MBA Students Visit Hillkoff for a Real-World Supply Chain Experience

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, 54 MBA students together with faculty and staff from the Chiang Mai University Business School, visited Hillkoff Co., Ltd. as part of their coursework in 711706 Operations and Supply Chain Management.  Morning Session | Hillkoff Highland Coffee Learning Center, Mae Taeng District Students explored Hillkoff’s end-to-end coffee production process, gaining hands-on insights into supply chain management, inventory control, logistics, and the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that support highland farming communities across northern Thailand. Afternoon Session | Hillkoff Branch, Mahidol Road Students observed retail operations up close, connecting classroom theory to real-world business practice at one of Hillkoff’s flagship city branches. This field visit gave students invaluable practical experience that bridges academic learning with industry realities — a core part of the CMU MBA philosophy of applied, experiential education.   A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Narumon Taksaudom, Managing Director, and the entire Hillkoff team for their warm hospitality and generous sharing of knowledge.

CMUBS International Accounting Program Organizes Interclass Networking Activity and Thai Language Skill Development for International Students

On 24 February 2026, the Bachelor of Accountancy (International Program) at Chiang Mai University Business School organized an interclass networking activity alongside a Thai language skill development activity for international students. The semi-recreational activities aimed to enhance international students’ Thai language proficiency, enabling them to confidently apply the language in both academic settings and daily life, while also fostering a better understanding of Thai cultural contexts. The event also provided Thai student organizers with an opportunity to develop planning, management, and teamwork skills through collaborative activities with international students, helping strengthen relationships among students within the program. Earlier in February, the Bachelor of Accountancy (International Program) had organized a series of Thai language development sessions for international students, inviting guest speakers from the Language Institute, Chiang Mai University, to provide knowledge and practical guidance on using Thai in various situations. Grant Thornton University Hosts Online Roadshow to Share Career Insights with CMUBS Students.

On October 8, 2025, the Career Success Center (CSC), Chiang Mai University Business School (CMUBS), organized the Grant Thornton Roadshow 2025 in an online format. The session was warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Weerapong Kitiwong, Assistant Dean of CMUBS, together with the team from Grant Thornton University.   The event aimed to provide CMUBS students with valuable knowledge and career guidance in the fields of audit and business consulting. More than 200 students participated in the session, which offered insights into the recruitment process for internship and full-time positions at Grant Thornton Thailand.   Participants also had the opportunity to hear firsthand experiences from Grant Thornton professionals and CMUBS alumni currently working with the firm. The event fostered an interactive discussion on career skill development and preparation for entering the professional world, helping students better understand pathways to success in global business environments.

CMUBS Takes Service Business Management Students on International Knowledge Exchange in Osaka, Japan

Chiang Mai University Business School (CMUBS), through its Bachelor of Business Administration program in Service Business Management, organized an international knowledge exchange and study visit to Osaka, Japan, from September 21-26, 2025, for fourth-year students majoring in Logistics. The program was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kemakorn Chaiprasit, Program Chair, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sainatee Chernbumroong, Program Committee Member, who supervised the students throughout the project. The visit aimed to enhance knowledge in international logistics management and broaden students’ learning perspectives within the Japanese context.   The program encompassed study visits and knowledge exchanges across multiple dimensions, including logistics and tourism management at the Tourism Authority of Thailand Osaka Office, supply chain management and library operations at the Kyoto International Manga Museum, and innovations in logistics and sustainability in the aviation industry at Kansai International Airport.
